The Elmatrix retractable screen cover

This is the first progress of 3d-printing of The Matrix Phone, a.k.a. The Elmatrix.

Untitled
The 3D data of the screen cover made in Tinkercad.com. Note the missing side rails I deleted for printing due to feasibility purposes. Also note the texts were too small to have and impact after printed, lesson learnt.

What is The Elmatrix ?

Took me 1 hour and 45 minutes and 14.5 grams of ABS filament to print one this morning.

The cover was printed upside down to conserve material, thus the coarse surface textures. You can even see the ‘threads’ of the ABS layers.

It is not yet surface-treated, thus the silvery and shiny complexions.

More updates to come!
