High-Spec Proton Persona Sedan

This is my rendering of how a top-of-the-line Proton Persona sedan could look like.

The rendering is based on the recent spyshot from Paultan.org. The sportrims are Iriz Premium’s, the door sash frames are blacked-out, and the side mirrors and door handles are painted. Iriz’s Daytime Running Light (DRL) were also added to the bumper. The bumper insert looks the same basic shape, so, probably the DRL would likely to be carried over as well.

Proton Persona is a B-segment sedan in the Proton’s line up. It goes against the likes of Toyota Vios, Honda City, Kia Rio sedan, Ford Fiesta sedan and Mazda 2 sedan in Malaysian market of around 600k unit of TIV of passenger vehicles per year.

Compare it to the rendering I had made previously, a mash of Iriz with Kia Rio Sedan derived rear end based on earlier spyshots.

To my surprise, the main rear door panel is new. I thought it was going to be a carry-over part from Iriz’s. Many parts are unique, for this upcoming sedan compared to it’s sister/donor car, the Iriz. For the stamped body panel, only the front door, front fender and hood are carried over. Interior could be basically Iriz’s.

So, whaddaya think?

p/s: What I love the most is the frontal part. It’s Honda-Toyota latest design language fused together beautifully. That lower grille extension to the side is bad-a$$ and well-executed. Compare it with the Mazda-sourced Toyota Yaris sedan (US Market) and Honda Civic 10th generation.

(UPDATE: I had also made a new rendering of Persona Sedan with Bodykit)

Note the wheel cover on this Civic!
